Terms of service

The terms on which MULTIIS accepts and carries a consignment.

Last updated 21 Oct 2026 · Draft for review

Placeholder wording. This page carries a plain-language draft so the site is complete. Have your legal advisor confirm it against the carriage terms printed on the consignment note before launch.

1. Booking and acceptance

A booking is accepted when a docket number is issued. MULTIIS may refuse a consignment that is prohibited, restricted, insufficiently packed or incorrectly declared.

2. Rates and chargeable weight

Freight is charged on chargeable weight — the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight. Rates shown online are indicative and are re-confirmed at pickup after the consignment is weighed and measured. Fuel surcharge, docket charge, add-ons and GST are billed as separate lines.

3. Transit times

Transit estimates are working-day estimates from pickup, not guarantees. Extended-delivery (ODA) locations add one to two days. Delays caused by weather, strikes, statutory checks or events outside our control are not the carrier's liability.

4. Prohibited goods

Currency, precious metals and stones, hazardous and inflammable material, narcotics, live animals, firearms, and anything restricted under applicable law will not be carried.

5. Liability

Unless transit insurance is purchased at booking, liability for loss or damage is limited to the amount specified on the consignment note. Claims must be raised in writing within fifteen days of the delivery date, or of the expected delivery date where the consignment is not delivered.

6. Payment

One-off shipments are settled at pickup. Contract accounts are invoiced on the agreed cycle and are payable within the agreed credit period. Consignments may be withheld against overdue amounts.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.
