Import & Export
Export of healthy food products — graded makhana (fox nuts) to the UAE, Canada, the US and Australia.
Graded, tested,
packed for the port.
Makhana is traded on size, puffiness, purity and moisture content. We export against a stated grade and a stated specification, with packaging and certification built to the buyer’s market rather than to ours.
Aflatoxins and pesticides are tested at an NABL-accredited lab and come back non-detected. Grade, packaging and quality certifications are customised to what the customer asks for.

Sizing & grading
Graded before
it is quoted.
In the global trade market makhana is graded on the traditional Suta system — one Suta is roughly 3.17 mm — or on standardised millimetre sieve sizes.
| Export grade | Sieve size | Count / kg | Description and best use case |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6+ Suta (Jumbo) | > 19 mm | ~600 – 700 | Luxury and elite export. Handpicked, extra-large, snow-white kernels with near-zero defects. Luxury gifting and high-end health food retail in the US, EU and Middle East. |
| 5+ Suta (Gold / Super) | 15 – 18 mm | ~700 – 850 | Premium export. Large, uniformly popped kernels, used by D2C snack brands and gourmet supermarket packaging. |
| 4+ Suta (Standard) | 12 – 15 mm | ~850 – 1,100 | Commercial and bulk export. Medium kernels, preferred for automated flavour coating, spice dusting and oil or butter roasting. |
Specification
What ships,
and how it ships.
The figures a buyer asks for before the first container, stated up front.
- Inner packaging — high-density food-grade polyethylene bags, vacuum-sealed or nitrogen-flushed
- Outer packaging — 5-ply corrugated master cartons or woven PP bags, 8 kg to 10 kg per box to prevent crushing
- 20 ft container (FCL) — approximately 3.5 to 4.5 metric tons
- 40 ft high-cube container (FCL) — approximately 8.0 to 9.5 metric tons
- Customised grade, packaging and quality certifications as per the customer’s demand
Makhana is extremely light but voluminous, so container capacity is dictated by volume rather than weight.
